Jessie

Jube Aki's Jessie James

PD1, OA, NAJ, NAP, NJP, O-NAC, O-NJC, CGC

10.30.96 ~ 12.31.09

The sweetest akita you will ever meet, that was our Jessie.

Jessie trained me to do agility his way, if the stars, the moon and the sun were all perfect, he might think aboutrunning. Or he might not, but he always had fun.

His favorite thing was making people laugh. He had a wicked sense of humor. He loved to stop on top of theaframe or stand on the table just to see who was looking at him. After going through a tunnel his tail had to bein the perfect akita curl and his ears had to be shook out, after all, they had touched the tunnel.

He was the perfect dog. Not only was he sweet, kind and loving, but he was handsome, protective and gentle. Hewas an ambassador for a tough breed. All akitas should be like Jess was. He lived in harmony with all theseaussies, he tolerated their antics, traveling with them to trials and even tolerated me trying to teach him agility... but, he made darn sure to do it his way, never mine. He had fans where ever he went and even after he retired, he
still loved to come to trials to visit them. A Social butterfly is what he was.

At 13 years, 2 months he was still a great spirit and would have continued to fight, even though his body wasfailing him. Letting him go was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

His loss left a huge hole in our hearts that will never completely fill and a big bright star in the sky.... These dogs..why do I keep doing this to myself? Because, I wouldn't have traded those 13 years 2 months we had with him for anything.

I could talk all day about how wonderful my beloved boy was, we were so lucky to share his life. Jessie was onein a million and I was very proud to be his person.

I still miss him so much....

Rest in piece big guy, until we meet again

"He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion" ~ Anonymous

Rest easy my big guy, I know you are still watching over us.

"Happiness comes more from loving than being loved; and often, when our affection seems wounded, it is only our vanity bleeding. To love and to be hurt often and to love again ~ this is the brave and happy life"
